One of the key issues with information security management systems is duplication of work across multiple standards. And competitors have various solutions to the problem, such as Common Control Frameworks. We needed a solution that would give us a unique selling point in the market.
I ran a remote ‘Design Studio’ type workshop with a cross-functional team, identifying key personas, key user problems and invited attendees to sketch out their solution ideas, then explain them and answer critique. We then voted for the strongest ideas. I took those ideas and turned them into a set of flow diagrams and concept or prototype level wireframes and presented them back to the team for feedback and additional idea generation. I also created some visual concepts.
The designs were very well received by the wider team and developed into a prototype, that was tested with customer users and iterated as the testing progressed. Additional ideas and problems were identified for the next phase of design. I’m also using the designs to specify a set of technical proofs of concept.
This is sensitive ongoing work that we believe is unique, but I cannot make it publicly available. However, I can show designs and other artifacts on request, which will be available via the button below.
